I saw them three times years ago, way back in their prime--awesome shows

My friend and his spouse attended the Delaware(IA) County fair 10 days ago
~Hour to enter the parking lot; Hour to get out of the parking lot
~ huge lines at beer tent--2 women taking tickets/2-3 manning the beer
~ unorganized. Fair staff overwhelmed, ill-prepared for crowd.
~ Good show; Dusty Hill sat the whole time--took several minutes to help him off of the stage

Glad I didn't go

RIP. I remember seeing them in concert thinking, man this might be the last time I would get to see them. That was in 1998 or so....... what a great career.

I just heard a report on Sirius this morning about him leaving the tour to go back to TX for treatment on his hip.

Dang another music legend lost. Saw them at the Iowa State Fair in the late 90's right after they had to "tone down" their concerts and was heck of a show still. Probably my favorite ZZ Top song:

Always been a fan and saw them in Cedar Rapids 3 or 4 years ago. They put out an incredible amount of sound for 3 people. For any of you blues music fans out there, I'd suggest checking out some of their blues tunes. "Dust my Broom is one of my favs.

Seems like they were scheduled at some county fair in Eastern Iowa.

Wondering if it already took place.

I read Stephen King's "Gunslinger" series and ZZ Top's Velcro Fly was prominent in one book (but it doesn't do much for me).

I was always a huge fan of "Cheap Sunglasses."
