The old standby for the golden age of video.


As an elementary school kid when MTV blew up the Peter Gabriel videos were what I liked most. Also the Genesis land of confusion video with the puppets (I was a really weird kid already into politics and world leaders whenever it was presented to me).

The Beatles made interesting stuff especially for that early.

I think these have been redone in Hi-def...it's astonishing that this was 60ish years ago.



Yeah they jump started the idea of music video with these and their movies. They just didn't have the media outlets yet. The Who was there too.

I'm a sucker for music videos that don't really have anything to do with the song but are visually stunning and tell their own story. I.e. this Twin Peaks music video for "Dance Through It". Not my favorite song of theirs by any means but loved what they did for this video.
