I'll give it a shot. It shows which players are in the game for the love of the game, not the money. If you are chasing money, the earlier you get it, the faster you will top out and stop giving for football. If you're chasing your best self, as Campbell recruits for, the money will come late.

There are NIL laws in several states, including Florida which is outlined here. For states without NIL, there is an interim NCAA policy which somewhat mirrors the FL law. The NCAA's goal is to get Federal NIL legislation in place that would closely mirror or copy Florida's law and supposedly supersede State NIL laws:

We have probably one of the most adaptive staffs in the country. I'd be more concerned if we had a staff that was flexible. Universities like Iowa are going to have more difficulty imo because many of those coaches are set in their ways. Hell, Iowa didn't allow kids to have twitter forever. So we will be fine.

In the end, our philosophy is solid and I'm not concerned. These coaches and Pollard have proven that they can be trusted to do what's best for the university and student athletes.

No one is questioning what is "best" for the university. ISU was a very good university before Matt Campbell even existed. This is about how it affects ISU in the W/L column. I love your enthusiastic take on how the power of Matt Campbell's personality by itself will somehow triumph and make talent turn their backs to a larger paycheck. That might be true.............................for a bit. But make no mistake, unless the big money donors at ISU are willing to buck up......every year......against say the big donors at Texas, OU, Okie State, you know.......oil country......you better enjoy this year. IMO.....this is to make sure that no upstart like ISU ever again threatens the perch of the Texas Longhorns of the world.

I'm sure. You have to remember this is the transition phase right now. These kids are at those school right now for other reasons than money. Once kids start going to schools because of money, it will change.

Hopefully you are correct, but even Iowa has made small moves which appear to put them ahead of us.

For example, player social media presence has been one of the earliest NIL paths. Iowa's rosters and player bios list every player's Twitter and Instagram handles. So they went from not allowing Twitter to promoting it for every player.
