I've never robbed someone but I rarely leave their wallet in the car when I do...

and regardless of what did or didn't happen - doesn't make anything else nonsense . Just because something does not expliciity pertain to one situation does not make the entire conversation pointless

Either that or stuff like Wendigos, Bigfoot / Yeti's etc...

Have I ever encountered one? Not to my knowledge.
But I do also know that almost all ancient civilizations who recorded stories - all have similar stories. Of similar types of entities.

If it was just in Europe or South America or Asia, I could dismiss it as non-sense.
But for all of them to have similar stories - in time periods where there was no true global news and very little interaction across continents let alone outside of your own village / immediate area -

IDK. That's what makes me think there are things out there. Proof? No hard proof no.
But it just seems to be an awful lot of smoke for no fire.
this was an interesting documentary.

Ah, yes. Dyatlov Pass incident. One of the mysteries of the world that has never really had a great explanation as to what happened.

Startled by an avalanche?
Military experiment?
Aliens?
Something else?

We'll probably never know for sure.

A couple years ago Russian authorities and other worldwide experts agreed on a likely explanation. But as you said, we'll never know for sure.

I guess i figured believing in the supernatural, ghosts, and big foot was nonsense. I could be mistaken.

In the context of one suicide so far for one of the subjects in this thread, it should be relegated to the appropriate thread imo.

excellent read. thanks for posting. Yeah, it seems the avalanche is the most logical explanation. But what about what they found in their diaries? Isn't there pages in there where they document they were being stalked and hunted? And wasn't there a page in one of them that read, The Snow Man lives?

The issue with the avalanche is some of the injuries don't seem to make sense with avalanche. It could be but it just seems strange... I mean, these were not inexperienced hikers essentially. And the fleeing of tent, is one of the harder things to explain in the manner that they did.

There is the acknowledgement that they could have panicked thinking that a snow slide was part of an avalanche and panicked. Sure. But at the same time - it might be a little bit of a oddity for people who were familiar hikers. So IDK.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as for believing in the supernatural - everyone can believe whatever they want. I'm just saying - there is an awful lot in the world and universe that simply "science" doesn't explain when you start unpacking. Stories come from somewhere. But that's just me

Any updates on the Wall lake pig-truck driver, David Schultz?

Edit: Sounds like as of yesterday (Dec. 4, 2023) no new info.

Yea but in this case the supernatural nonsense could probably be moved to its own thread as it’s pointless to this conversation.
