Looks like my first order on my current account was a Brain Series 3 shaver. However, I think my first order would have been some books for college on my university account.

I went into my Orders on Amazon the other night to reorder something, and noticed how far back it goes. I What was your first Amazon purchase, if you go to your orders?

This was our first one under my account, in 2005: The Life Aquatic on Blu-Ray - Criterion Collection A Blu-Ray, talk about a now-dated purchase.
HA! You think YOURS was dated...
From August, 2002...

V - The Final Battle [VHS]

I ordered mostly tapes (later DVDs) and books from Amazon for about 15 years. It's only in the last few years that I have been doing far more purchasing online. Convenience, mostly. We live on an acreage so we make 1-2 trips to town per week now that we're no longer working...and even fewer than that since March.

Talk about dated purchases - I bought season 1 of The X-Files.

Me I started in 2016 and ordered replacement grill grates, flavorizer bars and burner for our grill. We still have the grill.

Willie Nelson Guitar Songbook in 2007. I had just started lessons! Guess who still can't play guitar?

Thanks, @Angie, this was fun. ;)

It was an interesting history dive for me as I noticed when the tipping point into "holy **** I buy a lot on Amazon" happened.

Oh yeah. I started my account in '07 and there were several years after that where I didn't make a single purchase. But then around 2013 it starts to ramp up a bit, and by the time I get to 2018 I'm starting to wonder if I maybe have a problem.

I don't know what it was but I'm pretty sure it was a book because that was all they sold. I was surprised when people started telling me they had bought other things on Amazon.

Apparently I bought the Statler Brothers farewell concert on DVD for a gift for my mom back in 2003. Didn't think I even had an account that far back but apparently that was the purchase that started it all...
