Iowa State’s only unsigned men’s basketball recruit has re-opened his recruitment.

Dream City Christian guard Jayden Nunn announced his decommitment for the Cyclones on Sunday stating he had not heard from new Iowa State head coach T.J. Otzelberger in the several days since his hiring was officially announced.

Nunn, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound Dream City Christian Prep product, committed to Iowa State and former head coach Steve Prohm last December over offers from Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Sienna and UTEP. A native of Flint, Mich., Nunn is not rated by the major recruiting services.

His prep school teammate, four-star power forward Arthur Kaluma, signed with Otzelberger and his staff at UNLV.

Otzelberger has been adamant about his desire to keep four-star Wisconsin point guard Tyrese Hunter in the fold with the program and spoke to Hunter, who is signed with Iowa State, via Zoom on Friday. The Cyclones’ new head coach also re-extended an offer to Ames High star Tamin Lipsey, a member of the 2022 recruiting class, on Saturday.
