RECRUITING: Cyclones make the top-three for French combo guard

Iowa State is one of three finalists for French combo guard Clarence Nadolny. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect announced he had narrowed his list to the Cyclones, West Virginia and Texas Tech via his Twitter account on Wednesday.

Nadolny, a native of Paris playing his senior season at Our Savior New American School in New York, was first offered by Iowa State on Feb. 11. Steve Prohm went to visit the three-star prospect, according to Rivals, on Feb. 27.

Texas Tech was the most recent school to offer him on March 12 while West Virginia extended its offer on the same day as Iowa State.

Nadolny would be a late addition to the 2019 class and has not visited Iowa State at this point. The news of the Cyclones making the cut for his list comes one day after Cameron Lard announced his intention to leave the program, freeing up one open scholarship for the spring recruiting cycle.

There is the potential for more scholarships to open depending on further attrition plus the NBA futures of Talen Horton-Tucker and Lindell Wigginton.

Stay tuned to Cyclone Fanatic for more on Nadolny’s recruitment in the coming days.
