ISU gains commitment from Minnesota defensive lineman

 ISU’s future defensive line just got bigger.

 Jamahl Johnson, a 6-1, 315-pound defensive lineman from Prior Lake High School in Savage, Minn. tweeted his commitment to the Cyclones on Monday night.

 According to, ISU and South Dakota had offered Johnson and a slew of other high profile programs, such as Auburn, Georgia, Michigan State, Minnesota and Wisconsin had shown interest.

 Johnson’s Tweet: "I’m extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to play football at Iowa State University!! #GoCyclones!"
